Chimp Retirement Party - May 2, 2010

Thank you to all who participated in the Chimp Retirment Party Animals event! Read more about the event here >>

1. Congress is currently considering the Great Ape Protection Act (H.R. 1326), legislation that aims to end invasive research on the chimpanzees remaining in laboratories, retire the approximately 500 federally-owned chimpanzees to permanent sanctuary, and turn into law the decision by the National Center for Research Resources (part of the National Institutes of Health) to stop funding the breeding of federally-owned chimpanzees.

Urge your U.S. Representative to co-sponsor and support this bill. Take action >>
