Calls Needed Today To Protect Horses

Dear Friend,

Legislation to overturn Oklahoma's current horse slaughter ban, H.B. 1999/S.B. 375, recently passed out of committee, and is poised for a vote in the House and Senate at any time. Horse slaughter is a far cry from humane euthanasia, and a ban on the abusive practice is favored by 80 percent of Americans. Horse slaughter plants have a history of environmental degradation, and a negative stigma for local communities that host them, including lower property values.

Please make a brief, polite phone call TODAY (even if you've called before) to your state representative, (click here to find your representative's information), and your state senator (click here to find your senator's information), urging them to vote no on H.B. 1999/S.B. 375.
