Our 2011 Annual Report is Out!

Dear Friend,

Together we accomplished tremendous things for animals in 2011. Last year, we provided direct care to more than 76,000 animals in crisis, including rescues from puppy mills, cockfighting and dogfighting rings, hoarding situations, and natural disasters. To help animals before they are in distress, we helped pass 91 pro-animal state laws and regulations -- including felony penalties for egregious animal cruelty in Mississippi and shark finning bans in several states -- and reached a landmark agreement with the United Egg Producers on phasing out barren battery cages.

And that's just the beginning: Take a look at the key accomplishments from our Annual Report, in pictures! (Want to read the full report? Click here.)

Thank you again for standing with us. Together, we are The HSUS.

No Tyson, No.

Tyson needs to follow the lead of major food companies and stop allowing its suppliers to confine pigs in tiny metal “gestation crates” where they cannot even turn around for nearly their whole lives. Tell Tyson»

A Felony Penalty

Only two states do not have a felony penalty for extreme animal cruelty: North and South Dakota. Luckily, a new ballot initiative could make a change for ND’s animals. Sign the pledge»
