The Presbyterian Church Lends a Hand to Hens

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) sent an official letter to Congress in support of HR 3798/S.3239, federal legislation that would improve living conditions for millions of egg-laying hens.

The Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, Director for Public Witness stated, "In the PC (U.S.A.) we are committed to policies that will ensure an ethical food system that not only produces enough food so that all might eat, but also requires justice and humanity in our food supply..." Read the letter»
