You're Invited: Join Us to Help Animals in Colorado
Dear Friend,
Great things are happening for animals in Colorado. The next legislative session is around the corner and there are many ways you can get involved to help at the local and national level. I'm the Colorado State Director of The Humane Society of the United States, and I'm holding several free events around the state this fall.
Please RSVP to one (or more!) of these events to meet local animal advocates, learn how to build relationships with lawmakers, and become an effective citizen lobbyist. Please check the list for an event near you, and click to see event details and to RSVP.
Grassroots meetings are a general overview of the work we’re doing for animals in Colorado and how you can help. If you are concerned about puppy mills, canned hunts, local animal issues, or just generally creating a more compassionate Colorado, consider attending one of these meetings.
Lobby 101 seminars focus specifically on legislation. We will show you basic "lobby" techniques for citizen activists and provide information regarding some of the state and federal bills being considered this year.
Please take time to attend one of these meetings to support our ongoing efforts to protect the animals of Colorado and beyond. These events are all free of charge, but an RSVP is requested to attend.
I hope to see you soon at one of these events!
Sincerely,
Holly Tarry Colorado State Director The Humane Society of the United States
P.S. Please also consider attending The HSUS Disaster Animal Response Team workshop November 13-15 in Denver. This is the premier basic training for animal disaster responders nationwide. Click here for details and registration.
