Sadhu Vaswani Meditation Garden

Please join us in Secaucus for a celebration of the life and compassion of Mahatma Gandhi. A life-size statue of Gandhi will be dedicated to the state of New Jersey at a ceremony on Saturday, May 31, 2014. The Humane Society of the United States is cosponsoring this event, along with the Sadhu Vaswani Center.

The dedication ceremony will be conducted by Revered Dada J.P. Vaswani, the Spiritual Master of India. Wayne Pacelle, President and CEO of The HSUS, will speak on Gandhi's legacy of nonviolence and join Rev. Vaswani in a town hall-style meeting with the audience. Hundreds are expected to attend from the tri-state area, including elected officials, dignitaries from American and Indian institutions across the United States, and other notable luminaries.

Seating will begin at 9:30am and the cultural program will commence at 11am. The ceremony will be set in the serene Sadhu Vaswani Meditation Garden, with a complimentary boxed lunch to follow. Parking will be available on the fields across from the garden and there will be shuttle bus service from both the parking area and the Secaucus Junction Train Station.
