Omaha, NE: Eating with a Conscience - February 8, 2014 Metropolitan Community College, Fort Omaha Campus
The Humane Society of the United States invites our members, supporters and other animal advocates to a seminar on locally-sourced foods from farmers who adhere to high animal welfare standards.
The HSUS celebrates farmers and ranchers who give proper care to their animals, act in accordance with the basic ethics of compassion, and practice humane and environmentally sustainable agriculture. This seminar facilitates the connection of these farmers and ranchers to consumers who share humane values.
At this seminar you’ll learn how to eat with a conscience, and for those of you who are looking for higher animal welfare products, you will meet the farmers and retailers who can answer your questions about where to find these products.
A locally-sourced, gourmet buffet lunch will be served! The seminar is free for HSUS Members and $25 for non-members. Space is limited! RSVP is required. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Address: Swanson Conference Center, Bldg 22 (Campus entrance at 32nd & Sorensen Pkwy) Omaha, NE 68111
