Rockville Centre, NY: Lobbying Workshop- April 1, 2013
Rockville Centre Public Library

Think only professional lobbyists can lobby? Think again! The Humane Society of the United States invites you to attend a free Lobbying for Animals seminar where you can learn how to make a tremendous difference for animals in New York and beyond!

Join us and discover basic, but effective, lobby techniques to become an strong advocate for animals. You'll learn how a bill becomes a law, what influences a legislator, and what animal-related bills and issues we expect to be considered by the state legislature in 2013.

Plus, you can put your skills to use and join humane advocates from all over the state for the New York State Humane Lobby Day in Albany, NY on Wed, April 17, 2013.

Even if you have attended a similar meeting in the past, join us again to refresh your skills, have fun, and meet other local animal advocates. Please remember to invite your friends and family!

RSVP today to lend your voice for animals and make a difference in New York. Hope to see you there! Contact Brian Shapiro at bshapiro@humanesociety.org if you have additional questions.
