The Humane Society of the United States, in partnership with the Widener Law School Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, invite our members, supporters, and other animal advocates to a special event to celebrate animals and those who work to protect them.

The event will begin with a presentation of the Delaware Humane State Legislator Award to two legislators who have consistently led efforts to end animal cruelty and strengthen protections for animals in Delaware, Senator Patricia Blevins and Representative Earl Jaques. The evening will continue with presentations from Senator Blevins and Representative Jaques on their role in the development of animal protection legislation and the importance of protecting animals in our society from abuse. A reception will follow the event.
