Hagerstown, MD: Community Advocacy Meeting, October 28, 2013
Washington County Library -- Central Location

The Humane Society of the United States and B-More Dog are joining with partners in several counties around the state to build a strong and united front for the next legislative session. The meetings will serve as an interactive forum to chart a path for how we can work together to establish a fair, breed-neutral dog bite liability law for Maryland.

We will discuss the Tracey v. Solesky court ruling, how it affects Marylanders, and the difference between dangerous dog ordinances and dog bite liability. Most importantly, we'll talk about ways you can work with lawmakers to reverse this decision -- with insight from special guest, Senator Chris Shank. If you're a dog owner, "pit bull" lover, or animal advocate, please attend this free meeting and find out what you can do to help. While this ruling targeted pit bull-type dogs, ALL dog owners will be impacted by this legislation in January.

RSVP today to lend your voice for animals in Hagerstown and beyond. Contact Tami Santelli at tsantelli@humanesociety.org if you have any questions.

The Library and the Library Board of Trustees do not promote or endorse the views of the program sponsors, program content, or presenters.
