Rhode Island: Grassroots meeting, May 20 in Providence
Providence Animal Rescue League

Farm animals need your help! Join The Humane Society of the United States' Matthew Dominguez, Farm Animal Protection Public Policy Manager, for a free grassroots discussion on a historic opportunity to pass legislation that will end the cruel confinement of farm animals in Rhode Island.

You'll have the opportunity to meet fellow animal advocates, learn about a bill to reduce the suffering of farm animals, the legislative process in your state, and most importantly, how to be an effective advocate for animals.

Unfortunately, the Senate Agriculture Committee, Chaired by Senator Susan Sosnowski, hasn’t passed the bill out of committee -- thereby keeping gestation and veal crates legal in Rhode Island. Animals are unable to speak for themselves, so help give them a voice by attending this free event and getting involved!

Even if you've attended one of our grassroots meetings or Humane Lobby Days in the past, join us again to learn about new legislation, refresh your skills, and meet other local animal advocates. Don't forget to invite your friends.

Please RSVP to help farm animals. Contact Matt Dominguez at mdominguez@humanesociety.org if you have additional questions.
