The Humane Society of the United States and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) invite our members and supporters to participate in the 2013 Humane Lobby Day in Nevada to help make a tremendous difference for animals.
This is an exciting opportunity to meet directly with your elected officials about legislation that will significantly impact the lives of animals. There will be a briefing with tips for lobbying, and an overview of pending animal legislation, which will prepare you to meet your elected officials and advocate for animals. Senators Manendo and Roberson, who are sponsoring some of the great animal protection bills this session have been invited, and they will attend if their legislative schedules permit.
Attendees can also join us for a networking opportunity after lunch. There will be a humane legislation informational event at the Capitol. The HSUS and the ASPCA will have a table with several other great animal protection groups who will be providing information on additional animal protection bills that will be introduced this year!
Legislators are most motivated when their constituents make time to meet with them face to face. By attending Humane Lobby Day 2013, you can be instrumental in helping prohibit the private ownership of exotics animals, crack down on animal fighting, protect horses, and more.
RSVP today to lend your voice for animals and make a difference in Nevada! Contact your Nevada State Director Holly M. Haley if you have additional questions.
