Ellicott City, MD: Sunday Hunting Hearing - December 19, 2012 Banneker Room, George Howard Building
Howard County state legislators are considering a bill (Ho.Co. 7-13) that would allow deer hunting on specified Sundays for the first time in history and they will be holding a public hearing on the issue on Wednesday, December 19! Allowing Sunday hunting will exacerbate conflicts between hunters and other land users and present a variety of threats to landowners and wildlife enthusiasts.
There should be at least one day a week when non-consumptive wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy their recreation in relative quiet and safety.
Sign-up sheets will be available outside of the Howard County Delegation room at 7:00 p.m. that evening, and the public is invited to testify. Join animal advocates from your community in urging Howard County legislators to say NO to Sunday Hunting in Howard County.
